Rustico's Isaac Childs and his modern, earthy style.

A chance meeting with this beehiveStyle designer provided a window into his personal style...

unique tote bags of leather from rustico leather
At a recent trade show in Las Vegas, I happened to come across beehiveStyle designer Isaac Childs and his booth full of rustico's unique totes and leather journals.  My first impression?  I loved the way rustico's display combined both natural (mural) and modern (shelving) elements.  So chic and verstile!

While waiting to meet Isaac, I perused the company's catalog.  Here were two of my favorite pictures:

casual style and modern style with rustico leather unique totes and leather journals
These shots really nail the versatililty of rustico's line - their unique accessories make perfect signature pieces for so many styles.  (1) casual boho-chic or (2) classic charm + mod luxe business attire

And pictured at left below?  Rustico founder Isaac Childs decked out in his own classic style: pairing a timeless plaid shirt with well-tailored dress blues.  Blue jeans, that is!

It was a pleasure meeting you, Isaac - love your modern, earthy style!

BeeStyle Profile: Designer Christina Kober

Thought you might want to meet one of our best-selling designers...

Christina Kober began working for her father at his Atlanta jewelry supply store when she was 14 - it was a summer job she took in order to 'fill her closet with clothes'.  Little did she know that summer job would lead to a career she continues to enjoy and be passionate about today!  What sort of clothing does she fill her closet with these days?  Styles that are comfortable enough to move around in, but stylish enough to complement the jewelry she creates (and wears!) almost every day.  Unique pieces like brightly colored scarves that add just the right bit of punch to jeans and a white t-shirt...

We think this beehivestyle tote would be perfect for her!  It's a great size for carrying around a laptop, and has plenty of pockets for essentials like her iPhone and business cards.  Also right up Christina's alley?  Deliciously comfortable handcrafted suede moccasins that blend well style-wise with the jewelry she creates...

Christina's expression of personal style is evident in her jewelry designs, the clothing she wears, AND the studio where she spends a majority of her time soldering, hammering and creating!  Modern pieces like the computer desk (1) and storage shelves (3) pictured below are mixed creatively with a vintage bureau that doubles as an additional work surface (2).  The studio is 'warmed' up a bit with wood-tone furniture (5) and an inspiring shade of blue paint on the walls (4).

Never settle for anything less than butterfliesIt's one of the designer's favorite sayings, and is a true reflection of Christina's positive attitude and optimistic personal style as well.  We hope you enjoyed peeking into Christina's world; to take a peek at the line of jewelry she creates for Beehivestyle, please click here!
