Born and raised in New York inspired by the fashion and design industries along with the natural beauty and history of Westchester, New York - beehivestyle Kim Alexis deJong truly lives an artful life! She was inspired at an early age by both her mother and grandmother who actively bought, renovated and sold historic and contemporary homes. Always surrounded by beautifully aesthetic environments, Kim decided to pursue her studies in fashion merchandising and later in art education in NYC. This combination flourished into a career as both an artist and designer. Kim brings 20 years experience as an entrepreneur and self-starter of creative projects nationally and internationally. Currently splitting her time between New York and the South of France, designer Kim Alexis deJong has great sensitivity to a vast number of aesthetics that she expresses through her artful line of handcrafted gemstone necklaces.
