Jamie Cassavoy de Gonzalez, a native Vermonter, received an MFA in metalsmithing and design from RIT School for American Craft in 1996. She worked in Providence as for a manufacturer of precious metal jewelry until 1998, when she moved to the South and started her own handcrafted jewelry line, Cassavaoy and Company. At the root of this beehivesytle designer’s work? The use of clean lines, texture, color and negative space. Her delicately sophisticated jewelry replicates the strong, yet ethereal - nature of the flowers she grows in her Atlanta, Georgia garden.
