The idea for Nature Girl Belt Buckles and cuffs hit designer Ruthie Lopp during one of her daily hikes in the woods. After years of being in the Natural Health profession, she realized it was time to lend some attention to her persistent, creative urge. With the intention of combining a love of nature and photography with fashion and after many months of blending these passions - the alchemical results were the first Nature Girl Designs Belt Buckle and Cuff. Each Nature Girl buckle and handcrafted cuff is created and manufactured in the company’s barn studio in Connecticut. Due to the spin casting process, each buckle varies slightly in shape, requiring the staff to painstakingly size each image by hand. By the end of a long production day everyone in the studio has weary hands, calloused fingers, and huge, satisfied smiles on their faces.
